Where it is used

They are fitted at the head of every hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder exposed to the outside: earth-moving machines, tractors, farm equipment, commercial vehicles and presses. They protect the rod seals and the circuit oil from contamination, so they should always be replaced together with the seals when a cylinder is overhauled.

How to choose FR

  • Choose a version with or without metal case according to the housing.
  • In very dirty environments prefer a double-lip wiper.
  • Polyurethane: high wear and extrusion resistance, ideal for high pressure and dirty environments.

Measure the rod diameter (d), the housing diameter (D) and the height (H) of the wiper; for metal-cased types also check the lip thickness.
